We just thought you might like to hear a clip of the Trans Am idling and revving. After Jordan’s accident, he had to replace the exhaust on the Trans Am. Now, the car has Hedman long tube headers, dual 3″ Hedman X-tension pipes, Jones Full Boar mufflers ( Flowmaster Super 10 copies), and 3″ turndowns. Overall, we’re pretty happy with the sound now. Jordan also put on a different hood since the last video. He still has some modifications to make to it, but it’ll work just fine. When the snow melts, we’ll get it out on the road and do a driving video. Thanks for watching!
We thought you might like a look at this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am from Manns Restoration. It’s powered by the original 400 V8, that has been bored and stroked to 455 cubic inches. It also features the shaker hood, t-tops, and snowflake wheels. They still have a few bits of trim left to install, but it’s getting really close to completion. In this video, we mostly wanted to give you a look at the stereo setup. It allows you to sync up with modern devices, but still retain the appearance of the factory stereo. It’s definitely a cool piece of equipment. Hopefully you find this interesting, we appreciate you watching. We’ll try to come back with another video when the car is fully completed.
The background track is “Ten Million Slaves”, by Otis Taylor. It’s off his 2002 album, “Respect the Dead”. This video is not monetized, nor do we claim any rights to the song.
The weather was a little better today, so Jordan decided to take the Trans Am for the first drive since his wreck. We really expected the car to be down for a lot longer, but Jordan put in some long hours to get it finished quick. He completed most of the bodywork, installed the new exhaust, repaired the transmission, and added some new wheel centers. The car is a long way from perfect, but Jordan says it will do until spring. When warmer weather gets here, he plans to swap on a different hood, finish the bodywork, and give it a fresh coat of paint. For now, he’s just happy to be driving it again. We thank you all for your comments and support, we appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
Jordan had an unfortunate incident in the Trans Am last night. The car is a little banged up, but I’m just happy he’s ok. As you can see in the thumbnail, the exhaust got folded up like an accordion. Somebody had dropped a barbecue grill in the middle of the road, right after a curve. There wasn’t anything he could do to avoid it and he ended up flying off the road backwards. He’s very lucky that it wasn’t worse. The Trans Am and Jordan both will live to fight another day. Thanks for watching.
Saturday evening, we went out to the Cruise on the Square, in Highland, IL. This event is hosted by the Rusty Rodz Car Club and is held the last Saturday of every month, from May to October. They really get a great turnout…awesome cars and great people. They had hot rods, rat rods, muscle cars, restored classics, and even some modern muscle. We really had a fun time and we definitely plan on going back again. We hope you find it interesting…thanks for watching!
Jordan was out cruising the Trans Am around on some backroads yesterday and he had the GoPro running. It got a little squirrelly on him a couple of times and he managed to find a cop out amidst the corn fields somehow. We through some burnout clips at the end, just to keep things interesting. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!
The weather was great, so Jordan decided to take the Trans Am for a little spin…and a couple burnouts. He’s about to buy some new tires, so he wasn’t too worried about laying down some rubber. He also made a cardboard stencil and sprayed the Goodyear lettering on his tires, just to see what it would look like. He figured it was a good time to try it, since he’ll be done with these tires soon. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching!
