Workout Number 7 Squats, Curls, Presses, and Kicks

 

I was feeling pretty worn out, but I decided to get a workout in anyway. Posting these videos motivates me to keep going. In this one, I did some light squats, some true strict curls, and some overhead presses. I felt especially weak in the overhead presses…I’m guessing as a result of my bench press workout two days earlier. Anyway, I pushed through and decided to end with some speed bag work and some kicks. I suck at kicking right now, because I really need to increase my flexibility…but it’s still kind of fun. I’m trying to improve my diet, so I can have more energy and so I can recover more quickly. I’m adding in more protein, to help build back what I’m tearing down. Hopefully it all starts to come together as the weeks go by. Thank you for watching, I appreciate it!

Punches, Kicks, Squats, Presses – Workout Number 4

If you are a regular subscriber, you can rest assured…we’ll be getting back to more consistent car videos soon. This is the 4th full workout in our video series of me trying to get back in shape. I did another workout a couple of days prior, that I didn’t film, so this is truly my fifth full workout after about 2 years off. In this one, I did my regular heavy bag and speed bag punching, but also decided to throw in some kicks. I threw some straight front kicks, crescent kicks, and round house kicks at both the heavy and speed bags. I haven’t done any of that in a long time, so I’m not that flexible at the moment. I also did a few sets of full depth squats and with some overhead presses in between. Did some of the presses in strict military style, but others with a bit of knee dip…I think both have their value. Then I finished up with a few reps of 128 Lb barbell curls, but two were cheated pretty badly. Once again, just testing to see where I’m at currently. First Workout in New Home Gym

Workout with FPV – First Person View. This is my first real workout in the our new home gym setup. Most people start making videos after they are already in shape, but I figured I would start from the beginning. This way, I can chart my progress as I work my way back into shape. I figured it was a good time to try out different cameras and camera angles while I was at it. I know that the only way I’m going to get in shape again is to just get after it. I figure I can hold myself accountable by doing an occasional video update. I’ll be mixing weight training, with some calisthenics, cycling, boxing training, etc. This is a long video for sure, but maybe someone will find parts of it interesting. Thank you for watching!

New Home Gym Setup

Jordan and I decided to set up a new home gym out in the garage. We were getting tired of working out in the dark, damp basement. In the garage, there are more windows, a higher ceiling, etc. We still have a lot of equipment to move, but we’ll eventually get it set up the way we want it.
