Trans Am First Road Test

Jordan decided to take his Trans Am out for it’s first road test since the repairs. He was worried the the transmission might have been damaged when the flexplate came apart, but it seems to be good. He also repaired the oil pump pickup and the engine is showing great oil pressure. He’ll get it out for a better drive when the weather is a little nicer. The wet roads make things a little too exciting when you hammer into it. Obviously, he still needs to put the hood back on and get the rest of his exhaust hooked up. I’m sure he’ll have it all back together shortly. Thanks for watching!

RamblinAround – Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Race Cars, and Classics

This is just a short video I threw together for fun. It’s sort of a channel trailer I guess. I just put some interesting clips together from the past few years. We have driven some pretty awesome machines over the years and this is just a small sample. There are a couple of supercharged cars, one turbocharged monster, some drag cars, and more. Even tossed in a clip of Jordan doing some shooting with his Mossberg. Anyway, hopefully you find it interesting…thanks for watching!

720 HP 1969 Chevelle Convertible 454 LSX by Manns Restoration in Festus, MO

Manns Restoration, in Festus, MO, just finished making some serious upgrades to this awesome 1969 Chevelle Convertible. The customer brought the car in to have a Vintage Air unit installed, along with a couple other things. When they started looking more closely at the car, they realized that the big-block that was in the car was not in very good shape. The decision was made to replace it with a LSX 454 from Don Hardy Racing Engines. It’s a high-compression, naturally aspirated engine, topped with ultra-efficient, custom ported 12 degree heads and an 8 Stack injection setup from Inglese. It’s pushing 720 plus horsepower through a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed, back to a Ford 9 inch rear. We decided to take it to Bonne Terre Drag Strip, for a tuning session. It really has too much power for the street tires, but it sure makes it a blast to drive. While they had the car, they also installed the Vintage Air unit and a full set of custom gauges. It’s also riding on a full Roadster Shop chassis, with Wilwood Disc brakes all around. This car is ready for anything. It accelerates, handles, rides, and stops, like a modern high-performance car. You can drive it to the strip, getting pretty remarkable mileage along the way, and then take it out for dinner afterwards. It’s amazing these days, that you truly can have a 700 plus horsepower, naturally aspirated, daily driver. As always, I was extremely impressed with the crew at Manns Restoration and their attention to detail. I have a feeling the new owner will be suitably impressed as well. I hope you found it interesting, thanks for watching!

Filmed at Manns Restoration, in Festus, Missouri and at Bonne Terre Drag Strip, in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Special thanks to Chris Roberts and Eric Lindsey, from Manns Restoration, for all their help. We’d also like to thank Jarrod Keen, the owner of Bonne Terre Drag Strip, for allowing us the use of his facility.

Barn Find Polaris Project – Part Two – Clean up and Tear Down

Just wanted to give you a quick update on the Polaris project. As you can see in the video, we cleaned it up a bit and began tearing it down. We removed the snow plow, took off the plastics, and worked our way down to the engine. Next, we’ll throw on a new head gasket, swap the carb, get the exhaust how we want it, and then install the new plastics. We’re already getting anxious to see how it turns out. We hope you find our little “sleeper” project interesting too. Thanks for watching!

Burnouts and Blowers – Passing Lane Motors 2nd Annual Car Cruise and Open House

Thought you might like a shorter, more action packed, video from the 2nd Annual Car Cruise at Passing Lane Motors. Hot rods, Muscle Cars, and Classics…all sounding rowdy and ripping up the street. If your car wasn’t in this one, check out the previous video of the event. It was much longer and we tried to include everyone. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!

Wicked Sounding Cammed 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle from Passing Lane Motors

This thing is definitely plenty healthy. There is just nothing like the sound of a well-built, cammed small block Chevy. This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle is powered by a 406 Stroker small block, backed by a 700r4 automatic. It’s a beautiful car inside and out. It’s decked out in the SS trim and strips and the interior has been fully restored as well. This one is ready to go. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look!

It’s also equipped with Gateway Classic Mustang Suspension, Baer 4-piston calipers, 13″ drilled and slotted rotors, subframe connectors, custom 3 link suspension with Watts linkage, etc. This is about as nice as it gets.
