Trans Am Update – New Headers – Cammed Lopey Idle and Rev

We just thought you might like to hear a clip of the Trans Am idling and revving. After Jordan’s accident, he had to replace the exhaust on the Trans Am. Now, the car has Hedman long tube headers, dual 3″ Hedman X-tension pipes, Jones Full Boar mufflers ( Flowmaster Super 10 copies), and 3″ turndowns. Overall, we’re pretty happy with the sound now. Jordan also put on a different hood since the last video. He still has some modifications to make to it, but it’ll work just fine. When the snow melts, we’ll get it out on the road and do a driving video. Thanks for watching!

1978 Trans Am 455 V8 Start up and Restoration Update

We thought you might like a look at this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am from Manns Restoration. It’s powered by the original 400 V8, that has been bored and stroked to 455 cubic inches. It also features the shaker hood, t-tops, and snowflake wheels. They still have a few bits of trim left to install, but it’s getting really close to completion. In this video, we mostly wanted to give you a look at the stereo setup. It allows you to sync up with modern devices, but still retain the appearance of the factory stereo. It’s definitely a cool piece of equipment. Hopefully you find this interesting, we appreciate you watching. We’ll try to come back with another video when the car is fully completed.

The background track is “Ten Million Slaves”, by Otis Taylor. It’s off his 2002 album, “Respect the Dead”. This video is not monetized, nor do we claim any rights to the song.

Trans Am Update & Open Headers Road Test

It was a nice day out, so we decided to take the Trans Am for a little road test. Jordan is still waiting on some parts, but he cobbled things together just so he could drive it. The acceleration run at the beginning was with a shorty header on one side and a long tube on the other. With open headers, the size difference left to right didn’t seem to effect it any. Hopefully you find this interesting, we thought it was time for an update. Thanks for watching!

Trans Am First Drive After Wreck

The weather was a little better today, so Jordan decided to take the Trans Am for the first drive since his wreck. We really expected the car to be down for a lot longer, but Jordan put in some long hours to get it finished quick. He completed most of the bodywork, installed the new exhaust, repaired the transmission, and added some new wheel centers. The car is a long way from perfect, but Jordan says it will do until spring. When warmer weather gets here, he plans to swap on a different hood, finish the bodywork, and give it a fresh coat of paint. For now, he’s just happy to be driving it again. We thank you all for your comments and support, we appreciate it. Thanks for watching!

Homemade Lat Machine – Cheap Home Gym Equipment

I have always liked doing lat pulldowns as part of my workout, so I knew I wanted a lat machine in our new home gym. Yesterday, I decided it was time to throw one together. I used the same basic design that my Dad used in his home gym and I constructed it using mostly scrap wood that I had lying around. The bulk of the wood came from an old twin bed that we had in storage, but I did end up going to the store to buy one final 2×6 to finish it up. It seems plenty strong and works pretty well. I do need to get some new steel cable though, as mine is badly frayed. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching!

Trans Am First Road Test

Jordan decided to take his Trans Am out for it’s first road test since the repairs. He was worried the the transmission might have been damaged when the flexplate came apart, but it seems to be good. He also repaired the oil pump pickup and the engine is showing great oil pressure. He’ll get it out for a better drive when the weather is a little nicer. The wet roads make things a little too exciting when you hammer into it. Obviously, he still needs to put the hood back on and get the rest of his exhaust hooked up. I’m sure he’ll have it all back together shortly. Thanks for watching!

JeffCo Power Tour at Manns Restoration in Festus, MO

For the first time, Manns Restoration was one of the stops on the JeffCo Power Tour. This was the fifth year for the event and they really had a great turnout. The lot quickly filled up with hot rods, muscle cars, and classics. With over 140 cars participating, it really was an impressive sight. Of course, Manns Restoration opened up their facility, so that everyone could check out their latest projects. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, despite the gloomy weather. Of course a few participants couldn’t resist laying down a little rubber on the way out. We don’t encourage that sort of thing…but we will film it. Hope you enjoy the video, thank you for watching!
