This is another look at the restoration of the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air at Area 52 Restorations in Troy, IL. Jimmy has made quite a bit of progress since the last video. He painted and installed the original 283 V8, put the front fenders back one, and installed the hood. He’s continuing to install all of the exterior trim as well. Next, he plans to paint the dashboard and finish up the trim. I’m going to go back for one more look at the car before it leaves. Next, he’ll be getting back to the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro show car that you saw in our first video. Thanks for watching along, we appreciate it!
This is the second video in the series from Area 52 Restorations in Troy, IL. Jimmy is currently restoring a 1968 Camaro and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. In this video, I give you a look at what has been done so far on the Bel Air. Over the next few days, the fenders will go back on the car, the engine will be put back in, and the rest of the trim installed. At that point, I’ll give you another look at the car before the interior is finished. I hope you find this videos interesting…thanks for watching!
I went over to my friend’s garage to check on his latest projects. A while back, I did a series of vids on a 1979 Trans Am that he restored and it really turned out great. I thought I’d check in to see what he was up to now. As you can see in the video, Jimmy is currently restoring a 1968 Camaro and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. The Camaro is going to be a full-on show car, painted in Synergy green. The 1957 Bel Air was in the classic movie, American Grafitti as a background car. Anyway, I’ll be following the progress on both of these restorations as they move forward. I hope you find them interesting, thanks for watching!
