About 35 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri, lies the town of Festus.  It’s in this friendly community, nestled just minutes from the banks of the Mississippi River, that Charles Everett Manns decided to set up an Automotive repair shop in the late 1930’s.  At that time, it was the only shop in the area that provided both mechanical repair, as well as bodywork and paint.  Now, after four generations, the legacy continues.  Manns Restoration remains one of the premier automotive restoration shops in the country, with their cars garnering top trophies all across the globe.

For decades now, Manns Restoration has thrived essentially due to the quality of their work and through word-of-mouth advertising.  By continually going above and beyond for their customers, they have been able to steadily grow and prosper.  Most of their recognition has come in the form of honors received at various concours shows from around the world.   They have only recently begun to reach out to others via social media outlets.  In this ever changing world, they realize the importance of staying current and accessible.  If you’d like to find out more about Manns Restoration you can check them out on Facebook at:  https://www.facebook.com/MannsRestoration/

1936 Cord First Drive, MG Restoration Complete, & Spohn Custom

The crew at Manns Restoration, in Festus, MO, are putting the final touches on the 1936 Cord 810. In this video, we took the car for it’s first test drive and it did really well. They have a few little bits left to add, then we’ll do a complete video on it. The restoration has also been completed on the nice little MG. The owner is now going to take the car home and install the engine and transmission. We hope to get another look at it after it’s up and running. Kurt McCormick stopped by to check on the progress on his Sam Barris custom Buick. The whole crew has done a wonderful job with it. Kurt was sure to thank Craig Wimmer for the amazing job he did with the wet sanding and buffing. The paint truly looks flawless. We hope you find this interesting, we’ll have more video on all of these cars in the near future. Thanks for watching!

1969 Jaguar E-type Roadster Update – Manns Restoration

We thought you might like a look at this 1969 Jaguar E-type, that is currently being restored at Manns Restoration, in Festus, MO. It’s powered by the DOHC 4.2 Inline Six, equipped with triple SU carbs. The exhaust gases are expelled through a beautiful set of split headers, then back through the full dual exhaust. It has been upgraded to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission for better performance, highway cruising, and fuel economy. This car is also equipped with Jaguar’s fully independent rear suspension, so it should handle like it’s on rails. It’s going to be a beautiful car when it’s completed. We’ll come back and give you another look when it’s ready to hit the road.

Trans Am Update – New Headers – Cammed Lopey Idle and Rev

We just thought you might like to hear a clip of the Trans Am idling and revving. After Jordan’s accident, he had to replace the exhaust on the Trans Am. Now, the car has Hedman long tube headers, dual 3″ Hedman X-tension pipes, Jones Full Boar mufflers ( Flowmaster Super 10 copies), and 3″ turndowns. Overall, we’re pretty happy with the sound now. Jordan also put on a different hood since the last video. He still has some modifications to make to it, but it’ll work just fine. When the snow melts, we’ll get it out on the road and do a driving video. Thanks for watching!
